Portrait of Mikhail Usher, Esq.

Background

Mikhail Usher came to the law the long way: after earning his B.A. in political science at Brooklyn College, he ran purchasing for an international furniture importer before earning his J.D. at St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami — where his team won a national mock-trial championship. He clerked for a circuit court judge, practiced at an immigration firm, and founded Usher Law Group, P.C. in Brooklyn in 2013.

That first career matters more than it sounds: immigration cases are, at bottom, about documents, logistics, and follow-through across borders — and Mikhail ran international logistics before he ever filed a petition. The firm he built runs the same way: flat fees, clear timelines, no surprises. Under Mikhail Usher's leadership, Usher Law Group has handled thousands of family-based petitions of every kind — marriage and fiancé(e) cases, parents, children, siblings, waivers, and VAWA self-petitions.

Admissions

Federal admissions include the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First, Second, and Third Circuits, as well as the Board of Immigration Appeals. He also practices before the immigration courts (EOIR), principally in New York and Miami.

What he handles at Visa4Love

Marriage and family green cards (adjustment and consular), K-1 fiancé(e) cases, removal of conditions, and the harder files: waivers, discretion cases under the 2026 rules, and family petitions complicated by prior denials or immigration history. Delay litigation against USCIS runs through the firm's federal practice at USCISDelay.com ↗.
